The Odisha government has approved 22.5 crore for the construction of India's first resettlement colony for people impacted by coastal erosion and climate change as part of the Adarsha Colony initiative. In the Kendrapada district, the Satbhaya colony will be built. For the displaced people, the fund will be used to build houses, roads, drinking water, electricity, and other facilities.
