The Acing Development of Innovative Technologies with iDEX scheme was introduced in New Delhi on March 4, 2024, by Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, who also allocated Rs 750 crore for 2023–2025. Under the auspices of the iDEX framework, the scheme provides up to Rs 25 crore in grants to support defense technology research startups. With 17 challenges in its first edition, ADITI aims to develop 30 deep-tech critical technologies while addressing the needs of the Armed Forces and encouraging youth innovation.
