A Bioresource Nature Park was established by Kerala Forest Research Institute at Nilambur. The park has numerous varieties of algae, bryophytes, pteridophytes and plants found in specialized ecological niche such as cacti and succulents, aquatic plants, medicinal plants, orchids with special reference to endemic and rare, endangered and threatened species.
