The Swadesh Darshan Scheme (SDS) has been updated with the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 (SD2.0) program. The Union Ministry of Tourism launched it to develop theme-based travel routes across India. Under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 program, up to 30 cities from 15 states have been shortlisted for development as sustainable and responsible travel destinations. These include Nalanda and Gaya in Bihar, Colva and Porvorim in Goa, Dholavira and Dwarka in Gujarat, and Colva and Porvorim in Goa.
