The Bor Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra, which was established as a tiger reserve in July 2014, has applied for a grant of Rs 1 crore to support wildlife safari projects in the forest ranges of Bangdapur and Hingni. Situated in Wardha District, it is the smallest tiger reserve in India. It is near Pench, Nagzira Navegaon, Karhandla, Tadoba Andhari, Melghat, and Satpura reserves and is surrounded by a number of habitats that are home to Bengal Tigers. The region contains the drainage basin of the Bor Dam and is home to Dry Deciduous Forest vegetation.
