The Border Security Force's (BSF) new Director-General is Nitin Agarwal, a Kerala-trained IPS officer from the 1989 batch. Pankaj Kumar Singh, who retired on December 31, is replaced by Agarwal. Since Singh's retirement, Sujoy Lal Thaosen, DG of the Central Reserve Police Force, has also served as the BSF's leader.
