Since 2018, NITI Aayog has been disseminating the Composite Water Management Index (CWMI). CWMI (June 2018) and CWMI 2.0 (August 2019) are the two editions that have been released thus far. Due to the nationwide Covid-19 situation, the subsequent edition of CWMI was prepared in August 2022, albeit with a delay. A combined report from the third through sixth editions of the Composite Water Management Index will be produced by NITI Aayog.
