The Indian Navy's INS Sindhukesari is a diesel-electric Sindhughosh class submarine. In Severodvinsk, Russia, this 3,000-ton submarine underwent a significant "medium refit-cum-life extension" that was completed in 2018. Through the Sunda Strait, INS Sindhukesari recently arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia, for the 'maiden operational turnaround.' This is a submarine's first long-range deployment.
