The third-largest national park in Africa is located in Zambia, and its name is Kafue National Park (KNP). According to recent reports, after 50 years of poaching, the lion and leopard populations in this area are recovering. Leopard densities in southern KNP tripled, from 1.5 per 100 square kilometers in 2019 to 4.4 per 100 square kilometers in 2022, according to scientists. This was as a result of four years of diligent anti-poaching operations.
