Every year on March 4, India celebrates National Safety Day. It aims to increase public awareness of the value of health and safety in the workplace and foster a culture of safety. The National Safety Council (NSC) of India was founded in 1966, and this day honors its founding. It was observed for the first time in 1972. The theme for National Safety Day 2023 is ‘Our Aim – Zero Harm’.
