The construction of a High-Speed Optic Fiber cable to connect the Maldives has been finished by Indian telecom giant Reliance Jio. A ceremony to officially land the Ocean Connect Maldives-India Asia Express (OCM-IAX) submarine cable system took place on Friday in Hulhumale, Maldives. The Mumbai-to-Singapore IAX cable system also has branches and landings in Malaysia, Thailand, and India.
