The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has rescued 84,119 children at risk in Indian railway stations and trains over the past seven years under Operation Nanhe Farishtey, launched in 2018. Rescued children are handed over to the District Child Welfare Committee. In 2022, RPF rescued the highest number, 17,756 children.
