A corporate debt market development fund will be established by SEBI as an alternative investment vehicle. The Corporate Debt Market Development Fund will be established with a Rs. 3000 crore starting corpus. When things become tough, it will serve as a backup mechanism for purchasing investment-grade corporate debt securities.
