The Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI), Durgapur, of the CSIR has created the first indigenous e-Tractor in the nation, the Prima ET11. Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, introduced the device. A book by the CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) and a compendium showcasing 75 CSIR-developed technologies were both unveiled by Dr. Jitendra Singh.
