The Institutional Development Plan (IDP) Guidelines for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have recently been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). These recommendations are meant to help HEIs achieve academic and research excellence while raising the standard of instruction. Additionally, while maintaining accountability, the IDP will provide guidance to HEIs on how to exercise their academic, administrative, financial, and business autonomy.
