The Plastic Overshoot Day report, which was released on April 12, 2024, ranks Bermuda at the bottom of the Mismanaged Waste Index and identifies Eritrea as the worst. India produces the least amount of plastic waste annually per person in the world (8 kg), but its projected mismanaged waste in 2024 is 'very high' at 7.4 million tons.
