A renowned Indian historian named Ranajit Guha recently passed away. He was one of the founding members of the Subaltern School, one of the most important post-colonial and post-Marxist institutions ever. He wrote numerous books, the most recent of which was "the Small Voice of History" in 2009. He wrote in both Bengali and English and served as the early anthologies' editor for the Subaltern School group.
