Nineteen Jarawa Tribe individuals from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been added to India's voting registration for the first time. Native to the Middle and South Andaman Islands, the Jarawas are categorised as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG). They are thought to have been among the earliest people to leave Africa, and they are descended from the now-extinct Jangil tribe.
