After being found during ASI excavations in the 1990s, the Sannati Buddhist site was neglected until a restoration project was launched in 2022. Known for the Chandrala Parameshwari Temple, Kalaburagi, Karnataka, is located by the Bhima River close to Kanaganahalli. Among the most notable discoveries are the Maha Stupa, which was built in three stages between the third and fourth centuries B.C. and A.D., and the Ranamandala region, which presents a chronology from the prehistoric to the early historic periods. Additionally, a Prakrit inscription written in Brahmi script was discovered.
