SMART system is developed by which organization?

On May 1, 2024, from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island on the coast of Odisha, the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully tested the Supersonic Missile-Assisted Release of Torpedo (SMART) system. Advanced mechanisms such as velocity control and symmetric separation were validated by the test. The SMART team received praise from DRDO chief Dr. Samir V Kamat and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. SMART, a next-generation lightweight torpedo delivery system, combines a 20-kilometer lightweight torpedo with a supersonic missile carrier with a 643-kilometer range to strengthen the Indian Navy's anti-submarine capabilities.
