As part of his government's dedication to the development of historic temples, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the Rs 280 crore EKAMRA project to improve the surroundings of the 11th-century Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar. The EKAMRA plan, which was introduced in 2019, aims to revitalize the 80 acres of land that surround the revered Lord Shiva shrine in the Ekamra Kshetra (previously known as Bhubaneswar).
