The Chief Minister's breakfast program in Tamil Nadu has been expanded to 31,000 schools, benefiting 17 lakh students. Initially, a budget of Rs 33.56 crore was set aside for the scheme in order to provide a healthy breakfast to 1,14,095 students in classes 1 through 5 enrolled in 1,545 government schools.
