The government of Jharkhand launched a unique program called the Abua Bir Dishom Abhiyan to provide land title certificates to people and communities in compliance with the Forests Rights Act. Individual Forest Rights (IFR) and Community Forest Rights are the means by which the rights to self-cultivation and self-habitation are granted by the Forest Rights Act of 2006, also referred to as the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act.
