With an investment of over Rs 80,000 crore, the Prime Minister introduced the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gramme Utkarsh Abhiyan in Jharkhand. Over 5 crore people in 30 states and union territories will benefit from the development of 63,843 tribal villages. The program uses 25 initiatives from 17 ministries to solve gaps in livelihood, health, education, and social infrastructure. The central government is contributing Rs. 56,333 crore of the total expenditure of Rs. 79,156 crore. It expands on the achievements of PM-JANMAN, a program that targets Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) and was introduced in 2023.
