Odisha's Mayurbhanj Red Ant Chutney was recently given a Geographical Indication (GI) tag. In 2020, The Mayurbhanj Kai Society Ltd filed an application for registration under Class 30 of the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999. This unique chutney, also known as Kai Chutney, is rich in valuable nutrients such as proteins, calcium, zinc, vitamin B-12, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium, copper, and amino acids, contributing to immune system enhancement.
