For government employees who were previously covered by the National Pension System (NPS), the Himachal Pradesh government decided to reinstate the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). The Old Pension Scheme (OPS) had already been implemented in Punjab, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh prior to this. More than 1.36 lakh NPS employees in the state will benefit from this choice. A cabinet subcommittee has been established to implement the provision of Rs 1,500 to women between the ages of 18 and 60.
