The Mumbai-based Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited donated the warship Imphal to the Indian Navy. The Kangla Palace is shown on the left, and "Kangla-Sa" is shown on the right, in the crest design. Kangla Palace, the former royal residence, is a significant historical and archaeological site in Manipur. Manipur's state emblem is the "Kangla-Sa," which has the body of a lion and the head of a dragon. The third of the four warships authorized under the significant P-15B project is Imphal. Both INS Mormugao and INS Visakhapatnam are currently operational. About 75% of the ship is made entirely of indigenous materials, including BrahMos and medium-range surface-to-air missiles.
