The Performance Grading Index for Districts (PGI-D) combined report for the academic years 2020–2021 and 2021–2022 has just been released by the Ministry of Education's Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSE&L). By creating an index for in-depth analysis, this report assesses the District-level performance of the school education system. In India, it graded 748 districts in 2021–2022 and 742 districts in 2020–2020.
