World Food India 2023 was formally inaugurated by the Indian Prime Minister at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the country's capital. The PM launched a "food street" and gave seed money support to more than a lakh self-help groups during the event. The event's inaugural edition took place in 2017.
