In 2010, World Interfaith Harmony Week was declared by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to take place during the first seven days of February. Jordan's King Abdullah II first proposed the concept of World Interfaith Harmony Week in 2010 at the UN. UNGA invites all nations to freely spread the word about goodwill and tolerance amongst religions in conformity with their own religious customs.
