The Stand up India Scheme, which focuses on economic empowerment and job creation, was introduced in 2016 to promote entrepreneurship. The program has been postponed until 2025. Over the course of the Stand Up India Scheme's seven-year implementation, more than Rs 40,700 crore was sanctioned. On average, women received 80% of the loans offered through this program.
