Russia's Angara-A5 space rocket test from Vostochny Cosmodrome was successful. Due to technical difficulties, the previous attempts on April 9 and 10 were canceled. Over 25,000 kilometers per hour was the altitude at which the rocket arrived. This was Russia's third test that went well. On Cosmonaut Day, which honors Yuri Gagarin's historic space flight in 1961, the test took place. The Angara-A5 is a three-stage, 54.5-meter, 773-ton rocket that can launch 24.5 tons into space.
