Beginning on October 1, all births and deaths that are reported in the nation will be digitally registered on the Center's portal. The Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Act, 2023 will go into effect on October 1 and pave the way for digital birth certificates, which will be a single document used for applications for driving licenses, government jobs, passports or Aadhaar, voter registration, and marriage registration, among other things.
