In accordance with India's SAGAR Mission, the INS Tarmugli is being sent to the Maldives. The ship was based in Visakhapatnam and was under the Eastern Naval Command when it was commissioned on May 23, 2016. It is a water jet fast attack craft that is highly maneuverable and domestically made. INS Tarmugli is the first follow-on water jet fast attack craft (WJFAC), and it was built by Kolkata's Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd.
