In Arunachal Pradesh, entomologists found a new species of potter wasp called Pseumenes siangensis. It is primarily found in the Oriental region and is a member of the Eumeninae subfamily, namely the genus Pseumenes. For their larvae, these lone wasps construct little mud nests that resemble pots. Since there is just one other species of this genus known to exist in India, Pseumenes siangensis significantly increases the diversity of wasps in the nation. The species was named for the Siang Valley in Arunachal Pradesh after it was discovered in the Upper Siang District. Its distinctive qualities include feeding on insects and caterpillars, which helps control pest populations. It is 30.2 mm long.
